Cleaning Out my Closet...

Yesterday I crossed another thing off my list- going through my clothes and throwing out anything I haven't worn in a year. Once spring comes and I'm switching my winter/spring clothes I'll do another evaluation on sweaters, etc that I didn't wear this season.
It actually wasn't as hard as I thought. I did realize I have quite a few items in my closet that don't belong to me, however. I have 3 dresses and 2 pairs of shoes that belong to Kara. I have a dress and green shoes that belong to Kelly. I have one dress and shoes that belong to my mom, and I have a dress that belongs to my aunt Janet. Once those get returned to their rightful owners my closet will be that much more empty (and no, I do not have a fetish with stealing clothes from friends/families, I just forget to give them back...)
The best part of this latest update- I finally have pictures. woo hoo! Without further ado, here is my closet, before I cleaned it out (half of it, Jamie has stuff in the other half):

And here it is, afterwards. Dad would be proud:

I think the only hard part of doing this was parting with my beloved leather jacket from Express. My mom bought it for me while I was in high school, and the leather is so buttery soft, I love it. But alas, now that highschool is over 10 years ago, it is time to say goodbye. Adieu, my beloved jacket:

Ok, so that was a fairly boring item to cross off my list. But on a more exciting note, Jamie and I are in the preliminary planning mode for our next big trip... New Zealand! We've decided to go in November 2011, which gives us lots of time to plan, save money, and recruit other people to go with us. It's going to be a crazy good time, I can't wait!

That's all for today, Happy President's Day!

Wisconsin, Passport, and Bretton Woods

What do they all have in common? They are all related to things I crossed off my list- woo hoo!
One of the things on my list is to visit 2 states I've never been to. A couple of weeks ago my work sent me to Wisconsin for training- I was right outside Madison, Wisconsin which is a cool college town. The trip was really short (2 1/2 days) but I had a great time anyways.
I FINALLY submitted my application to get the name on my passport renewed. Now I am all set for Aruba, where I will be crossing another thing off my list (visiting the natural pools.)
And the third thing- I graduated from the bunny slope and went down a real trail on my snowboard! Was it pretty? hell no. Did I still fall a lot? you betchya. But it was fun, albeit frustrating. Friday I started on the bunny slope and then Jamie took me down this loooong green trail that actually ended down a blue trail. I had a really good run where I turned 9 times without falling. I just need to work on my hip pivoting, then i will be in much better shape. On Saturday I went down the bunny slope twice (still a good place to warm up!) and then Jamie and I went back up to what we thought was the same green, but we took the wrong lift and I had no choice but to go down a blue trail the whole way. eek! It didn't help that it was getting icy by then... In the afternoon Jen and I did the green trail again but I was soooo tired by then I just kept stopping. Hopefully p90x will improve my stamina! I'm excited to go again- hopefully when my cousin Katy gets back from Florida we will go soemwhere local.

That's it- off to watch Dexter!
